Hi! I’m Tara — I manage construction and facilities at Higher Ground Fitness! When my barre studio shut down during COVID, I found myself really missing the community vibe it brought. Then I found Higher Ground and immediately fell in love —not just with the low-impact, high-intensity workout, but with the people, the energy, the strong mind-body connection it offered – all of it. I knew I’d found my place.

Fast forward from client to instructor to when HGF decided to grow, it felt like fate. I got to bring together my corporate background in leasing and construction management with my passion of fitness. I truly feel like I hit the jackpot! Merging two things I love into one dream! I oversee day-to-day construction and make sure our new studios get built right (and that all those contractors stay on track!) along with keeping maintenance at our existing locations running smoothly.

I’m a mom of two awesome kids and two very spoiled rescue cats. When I’m not at HGF, you’ll find me either on the sidelines of a lacrosse field, at a dance competition, or spending countless hours as the family chauffeur, driving my kids to their practices.

HGF classes gives me 45 minutes of ‘me’ time. To reconnect, move, and find that shake! And I’m so grateful for it!
